Hi Jennifer, Thanks for contacting us and for your positive feedback. We really appreciate it!

Photos dragged from the Photo Basket are added with JPEG quality 8, which is the default save quality when saving from Ribbet normally. So there shouldn’t be any noticeable graininess. Sometimes when you first drag the image on it’s grainy for a few moments before the high quality version downloads. For really large files, depending on your internet speed, this could take a short time.

If this doesn’t help and you feel that your photos are coming in too grainy, please contact us here with details of the photo you’re trying to drag on so that we can follow up with you one-on-one and get it sorted out for you.

Hi Kathleen. Thanks for contacting us. The best way to achieve this in Ribbet will be to use the Pro tab > Clone tool. Adjust the Brush size so that it’s a little larger than the dead bug, then click on an area near the bug that you’d like to clone over the bug. Next, paint over the bug (by dragging the mouse with the button held). If there are multiple bugs, it may be necessary to click the “Source Selection” button and repeat the process.

Thanks Melinda. In your html code, simply replace pixlr.com/express/ with ribbet.com/app/. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Hi Melinda, The Edit in Ribbet button can only draw images from public web pages. Since this Facebook image is private (when I follow the link above I see “This content is currently unavailable”), the only way to import it into Ribbet is by connecting with Facebook from the Library tab within the editor, finding the photo and then double-clicking it. Alternatively you can obviously download the photo from Facebook and re-upload it to Ribbet.

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for contacting us. Currently there isn’t a way to embed Ribbet within Picasa. In order to edit your Picasa images with Ribbet it’s necessary to connect with Picasa from the Library tab within Ribbet. From there you can edit any Picasa image and re-save it directly back to your Picasa albums.

Hi Melinda, We can absolutely assist you in integrating with the Ribbet API. If the Pixlr API is working for you then it shouldn’t be much work to move to the Ribbet API. If you post your current code (if you prefer you can email it to us at support [at] ribbet [dot] com) I’ll edit it for you to work with Ribbet. Looking forward to getting Ribbet up and running on your site.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for contacting us and for your candid feedback.

We agree with you that these ads can be deceptive. Many of the advertisements that display on Ribbet, including these “download” buttons, are automatically displayed by the Google AdSense network which we have adopted. This network (run by Google and the most popular on the internet) automatically displays ads it deems relevant based on both the content of the page and the visitor’s browsing habits. So basically we didn’t specifically select these ads to display and not everyone sees them. They are automatically displayed to only certain users.

There are however ways for us to filter which ads do display, and we will look at what’s possible in reducing user confusion by blocking any deceptive advertisers or advertising categories.

Also, as we move to making Ribbet a paid service, the number of ads will reduce and for paid members there will be none within the editor whatsoever. Thanks again for your feedback, we really appreciate it a lot.

Hi Kim, Thanks for contacting us. There shouldn’t be a general issue with the “Send to back” menu. Could you please try closing down your web browser completely and re-opening it? This will restart Flash which fixes most odd issues such as this one.

If you continue to have an issue please let us know by contacting us here and we’ll do our best to help you out one-on-one.

Hi Caroline, There are 2 ways to do this. The simplest way is to use the Doodle effect which can be found towards the end of the Effects tab. You can use this to paint a flat color over the background. Adjust the tool’s brush size and hardness to use it most effectively.

The other way is using the Eraser tool. With this you can start with a background image, and then drag your main image on top from the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor). You then resize and erase areas from the top image using the Eraser Tool. You can watch a demo video of this here.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi Allyson, Thanks for contacting us. You can show/hide the Layers window by going up to the top menu and clicking View > Layers. Unfortunately once you save from the Pro Editor tool, all layers are merged and so going back into it will only show the one layer.

Hi Marcy, The Ribbet library is a simple, flat collection of your photos and it’s not currently possible to arrange this into folders. There also isn’t currently a way to transfer photos from Picasa to Ribbet, although you can directly access all your Picasa photos and folders from the Library > Picasa, Google+ tab within Ribbet. You can also directly save back to Picasa from Ribbet.

For these reasons, if you need to organize your images into folders and you already have a collection setup within Picasa, you may be better off leaving them within Picasa and accessing them from Ribbet. You can bulk upload your photos to Picasa, and then head to Ribbet where they will be readily available for editing. Hope that helps.

Hi Christy, This is a current limitation of using custom fonts within Google Chrome. If you need to make your downloaded fonts even larger, you can work around this problem by using any other web browser to size the font. Sorry for the inconvenience!
