Hi Lesley!
Have you tried dragging the borders of the collage cells or the edge of the entire collage? By doing this you can resize it exactly how you like it, and make it long and thin.

RibbetKeymasterHi Stacey!
We will add support for entering inches in a future update. For now, here are the dimensions you requested:
7.75″ x 10.25″ = 2325 x 3075
7.75″ x 5″ = 2325 x 1500By the way, the way to calculate this is simply multiple the inches by 300. So 7.75 x 300 = 2325. This is the calculation for 300DPI which is the standard print quality for most printers.

RibbetKeymasterHi Lesley,
Thanks for reaching out to us! To change the background on your photo:
– First open (upload) the background photo
– Next upload the foreground photo to the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor) and drag it onto the main photo
– You can then erase from the foreground photo using the Eraser Tool in the Photo Properties dialogWe have a brief demo video here.

RibbetKeymasterVery glad to hear it’s not a bug in our app 🙂
With the sharpness issue, would you mind please emailing us a before HEIC file and after JPG or PNG file to support [at] ribbet.com. You can make save appear by making any change (e.g. Autofix) and then undoing that change. We will then be able to compare to see if we can resolve this sharpness issue.
Is the issue apparent if you zoom right in on your photo (within the Ribbet app)? Perhaps it is just apparent when zoomed out.

RibbetKeymasterHi Beej,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
There should be no problem using .heic images within our iOS apps, however this format isn’t currently supported on our desktop editor.
Are you having any problems with editing images on iOS or have you not yet tried?

RibbetKeymasterHi Tanya!
Thanks so much for your feedback. We are so thrilled that you like our new interface!
These are really awesome suggestions. I’ve added them to our wishlist for inclusion in a future Ribbet version. One idea regarding commonly used tools: we already have a “star” function which sends your tools to the “favorites” tab (last icon on the left bar when editing). We could also move these starred tools to be first on their existing tabs.
RibbetKeymasterHi Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
In order to add custom Overlays & Layers, you can upload images to the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor) and then drag them onto your main image (or canvas).
You can re-order these layers by using the options that appear when right-mouse-clicking, and you can also erase and fade them, and use Advanced Blend Modes (these options are available on the Photo Properties dialog that appears when clicking the photo you’ve dragged on).
Let us know if you have any other questions.
RibbetKeymasterHi MRK,
The simplest way to re-balance the color in your photo (and remove the yellow cast) is to use the Basic Edits > Colors tool, click Neutral Picker and then click on a spot on your photo that should be white (or gray). This will balance all the colors in your image to reflect that.
You can achieve similar results using the Pro tab > Curves and Levels tools, however this requires a higher level of playing around. It can however achieve a more fine-tuned result, and you may want to use the Neutral Picker tool in combination with these.
Regarding the 24 pages of search results – sorry about that, it was including our Ribbet Lab pages as well, however I’ve now updated this and the results should now be far more relevant and concise.

Our engineers have now released a fix for this issue. There should now be no problem with Ribbet freezing on Edge or Internet Explorer.
If you continue to experience any issues whatsoever, please let us know!

Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue!
It seems that there is an issue with the latest version of Edge and Internet Explorer that was recently updated by Windows Update. We are looking into the issue, but in the meantime you can continue to edit without this freezing issue by downloading and using Google’s free Chrome browser instead.
I will update this forum thread once I have further news and hopefully a fix.
RibbetKeymasterHi Bobby,
Thanks for reaching out to us! There actually is a way to tell which fonts are Premium without clicking each font – Premium fonts are blue in color, and free fonts are black.

July 13, 2017 at 3:48 am in reply to: When I save my photos changing their name, where can I retrieve them? #9707RibbetKeymasterHi Julie,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is actually a limitation of newer versions of the Safari web browser. If you instead use a different web browser – in particular we recommend Google’s free Chrome browser, then you will have the option to select the save destination.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Marlene,
Sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue!
I notice that you’re running an older version of the Edge web browser. To resolve this, I’d suggest either:
– Updating Edge to the latest version by running a Windows update. Or,
– You could download and use Google’s free Chrome browser instead, which offers the most reliable Ribbet editing experience. If you continue to experience any issues, please reach out to us here so that we can help you out directly. Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi David,
Currently in order to add more images to a previously saved collage, you need to Undo until you’re put back in “Collage mode”. You’ll know you’re back in this mode when the collage layouts appear to the left (along with the rest of the collage controls such as Spacing).
In the future we will be looking at allowing you to edit collages without having to undo back into Collage mode.
Let us know if you have any further questions or suggestions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Liz,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
The Dodge and Burn tools are used to subtly lighten and darken areas of your photograph. This is most commonly used to improve the contrast of specific areas (as opposed to the entire photo). An easy way to remember which tool is which is to think of “burning” as in burning toast, making it darker. The effect is subtle, but if you paint over the same area a number of times you can gradually make it more dramatic.
Cloning on the other hand is copying one area of your photograph to another. You select a “source” (by clicking on your photo), then paint onto the “target” (by clicking and dragging). This basically “clones” (or copies) the source area onto the target area. This is particularly useful when you want to remove an object from a photo – you can clone a nearby area over it (for example you could clone a wall over a person you wanted to remove). You can also use it to duplicate features of a photo, such as to add more clouds to a sky by cloning an existing cloud.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
