Hi Holly, Thanks for contacting us and sorry that you’re experiencing this issue. Could you please try closing down your web browser (Internet Explorer) completely and then re-launching Ribbet. This restarts Adobe Flash (which Ribbet runs on) and should resolve the issue. If you continue to have a problem, try restarting your computer (shouldn’t be necessary though). If you can’t resolve it, contact us here and we’ll help you out one-on-one.

Hi Nicole, Thanks for contacting us. I believe the tool that you’re after is the Doodle tool which is towards the end of the Effects tab. Let us know if this isn’t quite what you’re after!

Hi Tyler, Thanks for the feedback! In answer to your questions, currently there aren’t pixel gridlines and the background is fixed to the same checkerboard pattern as the canvas. What you’re suggesting would make placing images on a transparent canvas a lot easier and this is something we will implement in a future Ribbet version.

Hi Gul, Thanks for contacting us and for your feedback. We’re in the process of developing apps for Ribbet. We’re focused on making it an amazing mobile photo editor which will stand the test of time. I don’t have any dates for its release that I can give you, but it most likely won’t be available until later in the year. I’ll keep you updated when I have some news for you.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for contacting us. We actually haven’t tested on the Playbook, but any device running Flash can run Ribbet. Ribbet can even be used on iOS devices using a Flash-supporting browser such as Puffin. When Ribbet is used on a touch device however, as it’s optimized for use with a mouse, various things don’t work as well (things like drag/drop, painting etc). Also, Flash doesn’t perform as effectively on most mobile devices as it does on a desktop/laptop.

We definitely have plans to roll out apps for Ribbet, and these are under development. We don’t have a schedule for when they will be released, and we’re focused on creating a quality product for the long term (so I can’t give you any launch dates just yet).

Thanks very much for your feedback!

Hi Deborah, Thanks for contacting us. You can absolutely use Ribbet for commercial sales, with the following exceptions:

    – The stickers and the frames with sticker elements (such as the flower frame) may require the purchase of one or more stock images. If you would like to make use of these commercially, then let us know specifically which stickers you want to use and we’ll forward you a link for the stock images required.
    – Some fonts require a small payment for commercial use (click the little human icon next to the Add / Delete buttons on the Text tab for a link to the font designer’s website to check on this).

Let us know if you have any questions!

Hi Laurie, Thanks for contacting us. Yes, you can apply selective color. Use the Black & White effect, and before applying, selectively paint over the areas you would like in color (by dragging your mouse over these areas while holding the mouse button down).

Hi Oreet. Thanks for contacting us. There isn’t an inbuilt way to highlight text in Ribbet, however you can achieve the same result by:

    – Drag on the 2nd shape (rectangle) from the Shapes tab > Geometric stickers (about a page down that tab).
    – On the Sticker Properties dialog that appears change the color to yellow and the Advanced Blend Mode to Multiply.
    – Position the shape over the text and change its color/blend mode again (if required) to suit the highlight that you’re after.

Hi Kim, Thanks for contacting us and sorry that you’re experiencing this issue. Normally the “Text Properties” dialog does its best to position itself out of the way, but on some display sizes this may not be possible. You should still be able to move it around by dragging it from the green header (where the title “Text Properties” is). Let us know if you continue to have a problem!

Hi Laura, Thanks for contacting us. The simplest way to achieve this is to use the Effects tab > Doodle tool (towards the end of the page) to paint white over the area that you’d like to become the background. Let us know if this doesn’t work for you or if you have any further questions!
