Hi Sarah, Thanks for contacting us! Yes, you can fix the picture to a certain extent, depending on how blurry it is. Use the Basic Edits tab > Sharpen tool and adjust the sliders to find the best balance to reduce the blur. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Hi Kamiko, Thanks for contacting us and so sorry to hear that you’re experiencing these issues! Unfortunately the Basic Downloader requires the image(s) to be uploaded to our server because it performs the edits on our server and then downloads the resulting edited image.

A suggestions to work around the problems you’re having: Try uploading multiple images at once. That way you can see the progress of the uploads before you start editing them, and can then be sure they’ve completed successfully before you edit. This will also allow you to get multiple uploads over and done with so you don’t have to worry if they’ve succeeded or not.

You could also try resolving the crashing you’re experiencing by experimenting with installing different (older) versions of Flash for Linux.

Hi Sarah, Thanks for contacting us! To save to a USB stick, you can either:

    1. When saving each photo, save it directly to the USB stick by locating it in the file dialog after you click the Red Save button, or

    2. After saving all your pictures, open up the directory where you saved them (in Windows Explorer or Mac Finder), and copy them all, then open up the USB directory where you want them saved and paste them.

Hi Michael, Thanks for contacting us. 1000×1400 is correct for 5×7″. The key will come down to your printer settings just before printing. Try opening up the Printer Settings dialog and ensuring that the correct paper size is selected. I’m not sure why it’s printing as 6×7 as the proportion of 1000:1400 is 5:7. Is it stretching the image when printing, or cropping it? Either way, it should be resolvable through the printer settings. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Hi Janie, Thanks for contacting us! Yes, you can add a watermark. To do this, drag on an image from the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor). For best results upload a transparent PNG, or alternatively you can use the Advanced Blend Modes (on the Photo Properties Dialog that appears) to make your watermark blend well with the photo. Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi AlexArtist, Thanks for contacting us and for these feature requests! These are excellent suggestions and we will look at including them in a future Ribbet version.

Hi Dori, Thanks for contacting us! You can add additional images by dragging them on from the Photo Basket at the bottom of the editor. You can also then right-mouse-click on the image you’ve dragged on to send it to the back.

Normally you would start by uploading the image you want to use as your background, and then drag on any additional images from the Photo Basket, but this will only make a difference if you want to erase areas from the foreground images.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi PMcNair, Thanks for contacting us! The easiest way to achieve this is to apply the border you want to keep as the inside border, click the top right Done button (to finish the collage) and then use the Basic Edits tab > Crop tool to crop off the outer border. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Hi Ed, Thanks for contacting us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue! The thumbnails seem to be displaying fine from here. It may be that there’s a temporary connection issue between your computer and Flickr (where the thumbnails are loaded from directly). If you’re still having the issue, try closing down your web browser completely and re-launching Ribbet to see if this resolves it. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!

Hi Britt, Thanks for contacting us! That’s correct, currently there isn’t grid line support, however in a future version we will be implementing both grid lines, and alignment indicators (to show when elements are aligned along the center, left, right, top or bottom). Thanks for your feedback and I’ll update this thread when this enhancement is launched.

Hi Michael, Thanks for contacting us! The 42:58 above was referring to the Proportions slider when creating a collage. For creating a Blank Canvas for a 5×7″ photo, simply choose 5×7 from the dropdown (after clicking Create Blank Canvas).

Alternatively if you just want to make a photo fit 5×7″, use the Basic Edits tab > Crop tool with 5×7 in the Constraints dropdown to crop your image so that it will fit perfectly. Let us know if you have any further questions!

    Hi Nancy,

Thanks for contacting us. So glad to hear you love Ribbet! Currently saving to Flickr doesn’t maintain transparency, but you can overcome this by saving to your computer with the Format dropdown set to PNG, and then uploading your saved image file to Flickr.

Let us know if you have any further questions!
