RibbetKeymaster
Hi Ollie,
Sorry, I misunderstood your initial question. This error tends to occur when the image is not publicly available. Ribbet is only able to retrieve images which are both publicly available (don’t require any login etc.) and which are also not blocked by the particular website. Most public URLs will work, for example: https://www.google.com/images/srpr/logo11w.png
If you would like us to investigate the issue further, can you please provide us with an example URL to illustrate the problem you’re running into? Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi Ollie, Thanks for contacting us! We don’t currently support sharing of images by URL (this is something we will be supporting in the future). At the moment you need to either save to your computer and share from there, or save to Facebook/Flickr/Picasa and share that way. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Sarah, Thanks for contacting us! This is happening because our collage maker currently doesn’t allow you to Zoom Out to a level that would allow the edges of your photos to become visible. You can work around this so that more of each photo will be included, but you will be able to see the edge of the photos (which will make them no longer appear circular).
To include more of each photo, first open up each image and crop it to a square size (using the Basic Edits tab > Crop tool, with the preset dropdown set to Square). Next you can also add a border to each image using the Frames tab > Border tool, with an Inner Thickness of 0 and the Outer Color of your choice (probably the same color as your collage border). You may want to experiment with different border sizes. Save each image so that they save to your Ribbet History.
Then when creating your collage you can change the Photo Basket to view your History items, and drag on these edited images.
Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
RibbetKeymasterHi James, Thanks for contacting us!
The Photo Basket can be found at the very bottom of the editor when creating a collage or editing a photo. You can minimize it by clicking the words “Photo Basket” so that it becomes very small, and then clicking these words again maximizes it again. It may be that you accidentally minimized it, in which case you should still be able to find the words “Photo Basket” down the very bottom left of the screen.
Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
RibbetKeymasterHi Markus,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue! There aren’t currently any known issues with the Pro Editor tools. Could you please try closing down your web browser completely and then re-launching Ribbet? This restarts Adobe Flash and should resolve any problem. If you still have a problem then please try rebooting.
Let us know if you continue to have an issue and we’ll do our best to help sort this out!
RibbetKeymasterHi Kat, Thanks for contacting us! The Doodle tool is the 6th last tool on the Effects tab. The Clone tool is kind of like copy/paste for your image. First click on your source position (where you’d like to copy content from), and then paint (by dragging your mouse with the button held down) onto the target position (where you’d like to paste the content). You can always reposition the source by clicking the Source Position button.
RibbetKeymasterHi Kat, For 6.30×2.60″, use 1890×780. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Sammy, You should be able to make the edges smoother by adjusting the “Brush Hardness” which appears as a slider once you click the Eraser button.
The other way you can remove content is using the Effects tab > Doodle tool (towards the end of the page) which can be used to paint a flat color over your photo (and therefore turn the background into a single color).
Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Shiana, Thanks for contacting us. Currently Ribbet only supports pictures within collage. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Pat, Thanks for contacting us! In order to edit a saved collage, first open it from the Library > History tab, and then click Undo (up the top right) until you’re back in Collage mode (you will see the Collage tab appear up the top center). You can then edit the collage again. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Kellye, Thanks for contacting us! You can use the Effects tab > Doodle tool (towards the end of the page) to paint over the junk around the outside. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHey Ashley, Although not obvious, you can achieve this now in Ribbet. First apply the texture (actually click the Apply button), and then click on your image and you can use the Eraser tool on the Properties dialog which then appears:

RibbetKeymasterHi Sarah, Thanks for contacting us! Yes, you can fix the picture to a certain extent, depending on how blurry it is. Use the Basic Edits tab > Sharpen tool and adjust the sliders to find the best balance to reduce the blur. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
