RibbetKeymaster
Hi Suzie,
Unfortunately this is a current limitation of Chrome, however you can certainly do this on our program version for Windows and Mac and as far as I’m aware it works normally in other browsers such as Firefox, Edge and Safari.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

RibbetKeymasterHi Mel,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Absolutely you can rely on Ribbet well into the future.
We have a desktop program version for Windows and Mac that runs without Flash and can be downloaded here.
We are also working very hard on a new, HTML5 browser-based version of Ribbet which will also include a bunch of new functionality. If you’re interested in becoming an early, beta tester, you can find more details here.
Or, let us know if you have any other questions!

RibbetKeymasterHi Lorinda,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This isn’t currently possible, however it will be coming in a future update to Ribbet. The ability to add a stroke, drop shadow and other effects to shapes, text and photos is high on our wishlist and coming in an update in the not too distant future.

RibbetKeymasterHi Gena,
Thanks for reaching out to us! You can still access our old web version at https://ribbet.com/cls or by clicking the blue “Old Editor” link on our homepage, above the “Start Editing” button.

RibbetKeymasterRibbetKeymasterHi Linda,
Thanks so much for this update!
I’ve just tested from here and I am able to replace a file at the same time as changing it to public without having it duplicate. I can also change it back to private.
I wonder if it could have been a temporary glitch with Flickr? Or, could it be one of the other changes such as changing a tag or the Photo Set or something like that? I know there have been issues in the past with the Photo Set, and as a result if you change it in Ribbet you actually can’t replace.
Would you mind checking to see if you can switch to public now without it duplicating the image?

RibbetKeymasterHi Jen,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Not all tools and effects have “Effect Painting”, however in order to just lighten a face you can use the Pro tab > Pro Adjust tool. Increase the exposure and then tick “Reverse Effect” on the Effect Painting dialog that shows. You can then paint over the face (by dragging with your mouse while holding the mouse button down).
If you can’t see the Effect Painting dialog make sure that the “Effect Painting” button within the tool’s options is on.

RibbetKeymasterHi Kim,
We have followed up with you about this over email (in order to try to reproduce the problem).

RibbetKeymasterHi Carolyn,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately it’s no longer available. Pixlr have decided to retire their Pixlr Express editor and no longer support its API (which we used to connect to them), and as a result we are no longer able to integrate with them.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

RibbetKeymasterHi Noah,
Thanks for reaching out to us! The “Load My Fonts” button isn’t within the list of fonts, it’s beneath it (just above the Photo Basket button down the bottom left of the screen).
Let us know if you have any other questions.

RibbetKeymasterHi Laurie,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Unfortunately currently there isn’t a way to do it. The “Reverse Effect” checkbox on the Effect Painting popup doesn’t reverse the entire tilt-shift but instead makes it so wherever you paint (i.e. drag over the photo with your mouse button down) the tilt-shift will come in, and everywhere else will be normal.
We will look at including this functionality in a future Ribbet update. Let us know if you have any other questions.

RibbetKeymasterHi Joan,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Is the issue that you’re totally unable to select JPG when saving, or is it that it keeps defaulting to PNG? Normally Ribbet will default to PNG if you save an image with some transparency (since JPG doesn’t support it), but if you change it back to JPG (in the dropdown on the save screen) it should remember your preference and let you save in JPG format.

RibbetKeymasterHi Ian,
Thanks for reaching out to us! In the current desktop/web version of Ribbet, this isn’t possible, however it is currently possible on our mobile app (2nd item on the Text toolbar that shows after you add some text).
In our new version of Ribbet for web, which we’re working on, this option is included. If you’re interested in becoming a beta tester of this, you can sign up to become an early, beta tester here.
One thing some Ribbet for web users currently do is add a rectangle sticker behind their text (from the Stickers > Geometric group). This can be faded to create quite a nice effect.
Or, let us know if you have any questions.

RibbetKeymasterHi Bridget,
Sorry to hear that! I am following up with you over email now to help resolve the problem.
