Hi Janno, you can in fact do this now, as long as you are a registered user. To achieve this you need to use the green photo basket at the bottom of the editing area. See our Photo Basket help for more details.

    Hi Karr,
The zoom function you used is simply a way to navigate around your picture to get a closer look at different areas. To achieve what you are trying to do, simply go to the “Crop” option (which is in the first option on the left in “Basic Edits”). Drag the corners of the rectangle that appear on your photo to resize it appropriately and then click “Apply”.

Hi Pamela, If you change the name of the file when you are saving does this fix it for you? We have also just introduced a “basic downloader” which is a link under the normal red download button. If you are having troubles with the regular button, try this and it may fix your issue. Let me know how you go.

Hi KeyTX, nothing changed as of yesterday however today we have just updated Ribbet and it now includes a “Basic Downloader”. This will allow you to download photos in a simpler way for anyone experiencing this type of problem.

Excellent! Very glad to hear it.

    Hi 4cassandra,

This is an issue with your particular client as in general the sandbox tools are all working. Sometimes problems like this go away if you just close and reopen your browser. Sometimes a particular client will encounter an error with one particular tool (such as Clone), and then after that the other tools stop working until you reopen. Is that the case for you?

    Thanks

Thanks MMarshall. The best tool to currently correct background flaws is the clone tool on the Advanced tab. With this tool you can carefully clone areas to mask background flaws. Switching out backgrounds is something that may be possible in a future update by masking out custom layers.

Hi there. The very next update will have Facebook and Flickr integration (with the ability to load and save photos from these services). Then, the following update will have Email, Twitter and Picasa Web integration. We don’t have an exactly schedule for these releases but they will be in the coming weeks.

Hi ChiaraM, there shouldn’t be any problem with logging in.

In the recovery email, make sure your username is as you expect (the email will say Dear ), and then make sure you type the password exactly as it shows.

I have just tested this and there is no problem with the recovery password. If you are still having a problem, please email us at support [at] ribbet [dot] com with your username and we’ll investigate further.

Yes we will be adding new textures. There are already some worn wood/paint textures in Effects > Textures (around 3/4 of the way down the effects panel). Also, if you are registered you can use your own custom textures by uploading them to the photo basket and then dragging them onto your image (and then adjusting the blend mode). For more info on custom textures see: Photo Basket help and also Advanced Blend Mode help.

Hi Anthony. This is definitely something we will look at a little down the track. Next version is integration with Facebook/Flickr, and then we will be looking at other features like Fancy Collage and Show 🙂

Hi Palio, When you click the red Save button, you should be able to browse to any drives attached to your computer, including flash drives & memory cards. Just have a browse around and you should be able to find them.

Not long now. We are working on it and you will have it soon. You can import photos from Flickr right now using our Toolbar button, but there are limitations with this and full integration is coming.

    Hi Eleonore,

I’m sorry you are experiencing this problem.

As long as you are registered, all edits are saved to your Ribbet history which can be found on the Library Tab. From here you can reload any photo you saved, and try to save it again to your computer. This means that you shouldn’t lose your work.

We are working on a “Basic Downloader” right now which will be released soon. This will be similar to our “Basic Uploader” and will therefore provide a way of downloading which is more reliable if you are having problems such as these.

In the meantime, if you aren’t currently working with the Google Chrome browser, this fixes a lot of issues, as does updating to the latest version of flash.

Last thing. We are also working on save to Facebook/Flickr and other services. This will also give you an alternate way of saving and is coming very soon.

    Hope this helps 🙂
