Hi Laurel, Sorry you’re having this problem. This isn’t one we’ve seen before. Have you recently upgraded your computer (such as updating Internet Explorer, installing a new anti-virus program etc)?
Here are a couple of suggestions to try to fix this problem:
– Try closing down your browser completely and re-opening it
– Try updating FlashIf you continue to have the problem, you could try temporarily disabling any anti-virus or firewall programs you’re running, or you could try using Google’s free Chrome browser.
Hi Kimberly, Sorry about that. The dimensions I gave you originally: 1400×2100, while in the correct ratio, will only be 70 DPI when printed at 20×30. You can instead create a blank canvas of size 3200×4800 which will give you 160 DPI when printing, which should be sufficient for a large poster.
Hi Lisa, Sorry you’re having this problem. I’d be happy to help you sort it out. The most common remedy for these types of issues is to:
– update your Adobe Flash player, or alternatively try using the free Google Chrome browser
– reboot your computerPlease let us know if you continue to experience a problem.
Hi Anne, Thanks for this suggestion. Saving uploaded fonts isn’t something which is current possible. I can understand the inconvenience of having to always click ‘Load My Fonts’ and find the particular font and so saving favorite fonts is a feature that we will consider adding down the track. As a workaround I know that some users keep Ribbet opened in a tab all the time so that they don’t have to always reload it. This is something you could consider, although obviously this isn’t something which appeals to everyone.
Hi Amanda, Yes there shouldn’t be any issue with uploading multiple photos at once. As long as you are registered and logged into Ribbet it should just be a matter of selecting multiple images (I just tested it and it worked fine for me). If you continue to have a problem try closing down your browser completely and re-opening it, rebooting, or if you still have a problem try updating flash or using Google’s free Chrome browser. Please let us know if you continue to have an issue.
Hi Emily, This issue with image rotation is a problem that occurs when the rotation is stored in the EXIF data of the photo (hidden information attached to a photo, usually created by your camera). Ribbet currently doesn’t support EXIF rotation and so if the photo is already rotated in EXIF, Ribbet ignores this information when loading the photo. When saving, it hangs onto all the original EXIF data though, and so the rotation still exists when saving (even though you can’t see it in Ribbet – you can see it in other programs including on Facebook and Smugmug).
So basically you’re not doing anything wrong, Ribbet at some point will need to take into account EXIF rotation. Until then you’ll need to be aware that if Ribbet has ignored the rotation on loading, it will return on saving.
