Hi Paula, This isn’t a panel which Ribbet has added and must be caused by something else on your computer. If you email us a screenshot to support [at] ribbet.com we can see what’s possible in assisting you to sort this out. It may be caused by a virus or toolbar that was installed on your computer.

Hi Kirasun, Unfortunately zooming in on images within collages isn’t currently possible. The only way to work around this is to crop your images first and re-save them. You can then build your collage directly from these edited photos by selecting “History” from the photo basket when building your collage. Sorry for the inconvenience and zooming in on images is a feature we will introduce in a future Ribbet version.

Hi Kim, Unfortunately as you’ve said, the frames do change the size of the photo and this is a limitation of how Ribbet currently works. The only way to ensure there won’t be any further cropping when printing is to re-crop your picture to 4×6 again after adding the frame. My only other suggestion would be to allow for a wide frame in order to take into account the fact that you will be re-cropping the image after framing it.

    Hi Jenny,

This will sometimes happen when Adobe Flash gets into a funny state. It should be resolved by closing down your browser completely and re-opening it, and if that doesn’t do the trick then rebooting almost certainly will. Let us know if you continue to have any issues 🙂

Hi Nicole, This is a current limitation of Ribbet. There is a workaround though: Create a Blank Canvas (from the Home tab or the Library > Start tab) with dimensions matching the image’s and with Transparent ticked. Next drag on your transparent image from the Photo Basket and the result will be the transparency you’re after.

Hi Teresa, It definitely would be nice to be able to pick your sizes for both Collage proportions and Blank Canvas dimensions, and this feature will be introduced to Ribbet soon. As of right now, for a 16×20 blank canvas, use the dimensions 2400×3000. This is a perfect match for a 16×20″ collage at 150DPI (the proportions slider within Collage on the other hand can be less precise when trying to approximate dimensions, and being able to pick your size from a dropdown will resolve this).

Hi Teresa, The reason for this is that changing the Proportions Slider doesn’t change the size of the collage, it only changes the ratio of width to height. So although one may seem larger than the other, in fact it is just about finding a ratio which most closely fits the collage’s width to height ratio.

    In this case 18 / 24 = 0.75 and 43 / 57 = 0.754… which is the closest match available.

Hi Aemi, Just to update you, we’ve now implemented your suggestion. Our latest version includes a “Favorites Tab” to collect all your bookmarked effects, stickers, borders and seasonals.

Hi Rizwan, Unfortunately not. Our focus is on improving the online experience and moving into mobile apps. Our mobile apps will be able to be used offline however we don’t have any time-frame as to when these will launch.

Hi Lanee, Generally photo labs will either crop or fit your images. In both these cases your pic will not be distorted and will be proportioned just like the original.

If your photo lab crops your image it will have the top and bottom or left and right cropped (depending on the size of the print vs the size of the photo).

If the photo lab allows you to fit your images, then the pic will have black or white bands along the top and bottom or left and right.

Generally photo labs also give you a preview of how your photo will print from within your shopping cart and may allow you to position the image when cropping.

If you are talking about printing at home, the same rules apply and the outcome will depend on your printing settings.

Hi Lanee, Currently you can step through the history of any edit by opening it from the Library > History tab and then hitting Undo through the steps (and Redo to step forward). There isn’t a way though to see what the name of each effect was. We can determine this for you though. If there’s a particular image that you’d like to know the exact editing history of, simply contact us here and describe the image you are after the editing details for. We’ll email you back with the editing steps applied to the image.

Hi Dolma, Thanks for the feedback! What do you mean exactly by “add background colors”? You can use the Doodle tool (towards the end on the Effects tab) to paint on a background color, but I suspect you mean something slightly different. Let us know and we’ll either point you to a possible way of doing it now, or look at adding the feature you’re after.
