Hi Rachel, Excellent to hear that it’s working now, both for Flickr and regular uploads.

The splitting of the cells is a new feature which is handy for advanced customization of your collages, however based on your feedback (and the feedback of some other users) we have added the ability to switch this off: When creating your collage untick the “Split cells when adding photos” checkbox (which is on the left of the collage screen).

I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem with changing the border color but please let us know if this continues to be a problem or if you have any other feedback we’d love to hear it. Thanks!

    Hi Rachel,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue.

We’ve just pushed a fix for this problem. Could you please try creating a collage with images from your computer only to see if you run into any issues? If not, can you then try with Flickr images as well?

Let us know if you have any further problems. Thanks!

    Hi Sue,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue! I have seen the problem you’re referring to in the past, but I just installed Beyond Wonderland on my machine here and got the same result in Word, Google Chrome and Firefox. Which browser are you using? One thing you could try is trying a different web browser.

If you still have the issue can you please email us a screenshot demonstrating the problem to support [at] ribbet.com?

    Thanks!

Hi Carlin, We unfortunately don’t have an exact date for you, but it’s going to be at least a few more months. There’s a lot involved in updating all the details, and we need to make sure everything is put together perfectly.

We’re dying just as much as you are to get this new version released, because it’s going to be a really exciting one! We’ll keep you updated.

Hi Tee, So glad to hear that you love Ribbet!

You can change the color of a graphic using the Effects tab > Tint effect (about 4 pages from the top of the tab). Let us know if this isn’t quite what you’re after. Thanks!

    Hi Tanya,

    Thanks for contacting us!

This is an excellent suggestion – only issue is that the mouse wheel is currently used for zooming in and out of your image, which is also handy when editing. We do currently have a keyboard shortcut for changing the brush size: you can use the [ and ] keys to change the brush size.

Let us know if you have any other suggestions or questions. Thanks!

    Hi Nate,

    In answer to your questions:

    – The image size and quality itself is just as important as the printer – the larger the size you want to print at, the greater the dimensions your image needs to have. The only exception to this is with “vector” images, which Ribbet doesn’t support.

    – The DPI issue can be confusing, but to simplify, here’s the equation:

Image dimensions = (width in inches x DPI) x (height in inches x DPI)

So, for example if you want to print at 4ftx4ft at 700DPI, your image would need to be:

    (48×700) x (48×700)
    = 33600 x 33600

This is an extraordinarily large image though, and Ribbet is only capable of dimensions up to 16 megapixels (4000 x 4000) which is approximately 13.3″ x 13.3″ at 300DPI.

I would ask your printer if a 4000×4000 pixel image will be large enough. If it is you can create your Blank Canvas at this dimension. If not, you unfortunately won’t be able to use Ribbet for this project.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

This ability will come with the new collage functionality that’s about to be released. You will be able to add an unlimited number of rows and columns.

    Hi CarlinEJones,

Thanks for contacting us! You can add rows and columns by using the Rows and Columns sliders down the bottom left when creating a collage.

You can also change the shape of the collage using the Proportions slider.

Starting in the next fortnight or so we will be launching new functionality which allows you to insert cells, rows and columns with even more flexibility, as well as resizing the entire collage, so stay tuned for these updates.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Lynn,

Thanks for contacting us. There are 2 main ways to “erase” from an image:

    1. To paint a flat color (e.g. white) over your image, you can use the Effects tab > Doodle tool (towards the end of the page). If using this method, you can optionally “pick” a color from your image by first clicking the color selector and then your image.

    2. Alternatively, to delete from a second image that has been dragged on from the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor) you can use the Eraser tool (which appears when clicking on that dragged on image).

Does that help or do you still have the problem?

    Hi Mary,

    Thanks for this suggestion!

In case you aren’t aware of this, you can actually upload any image you’d like to use as a sticker to the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor). So, you can find any image you like on Google Image Search or anywhere else and then use it as a sticker on Ribbet.

Once uploaded to the Photo Basket you can drag it onto your image and resize it, just like a regular sticker.

Let us know if you have any other questions or suggestions!

Hi Mary, Thanks for contacting us!

For commercial use (any use that generates a profit), it will be necessary to purchase the rights for any stickers you use. If you contact us here with details of which specific stickers you want to use, we’ll send you a link to purchase the stock images. They’re generally inexpensive.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

    Hi Doug,

Thanks for contacting us. Here’s how it’s done:

    1. Create a BLANK CANVAS with a white background.
    2. Add text, shapes, or anything else you want to be filled with your image. Important: everything you add needs to be black.
    3. Flatten your image by clicking the Cog icon up the top right next to Undo/Redo and then Flatten Everything.
    4. Drag on your image from the Photo Basket at the bottom of the editor.
    5. Change the Advanced Blend Mode on the Photo Properties dialog which appears to Lighten, and resize the image so that it looks correct.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
