Hi Alcina, Although it’s possible and we haven’t ruled it out entirely, at this stage we don’t have any plans to support animated gifs within Ribbet, as this would involve the support of multiple frames within a single image.
RibbetKeymasterHi littabitts, You will not lose any of your free photos, regardless of if you give them a title or not. In the future when we start charging for Ribbet Premium, it may be that non-premium members are limited in how many photos they can store, but this is yet to be decided and we will communicate any such change with you well in advance.
RibbetKeymasterHi Ashley, We realise that the eraser tool is a very important one for people and so we will be releasing it early in the new year.
RibbetKeymasterHi Frank, This is an excellent suggestion and something we intend to do. Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi Linda, Thanks for the feedback! Here are some Ribbet equivalents to the PicMonkey effects you’ve mentioned:
– Nip tuck: Effects > Gooify. Not identical but very similar and we will be introducing brush size in a future version
– Film Stock: Velvia, Reala and Tri-X can be found under Advanced > Curves > Presets Dropdown
– Cross Process green/blue/red: These are also found in the Curves presets dropdown
– Tranquil is very close to the Curves preset “Polachrome Yellowed”
– A very similar effect to Intrepid can be achieved by applying the default “Custom” Curve setting, followed by Effects > Lomo-ish with a 65% fadeRibbetKeymasterHi barefootbutterfly, We will definitely look into allowing you to undo individual Gooify movements and into adjusting the brush size. Thanks for your suggestions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Laura, Currently there isn’t a direct way but you can achieve this using the “Pro Editor” tool. Go to the Advanced Tab and choose Pro Editor, then select “Pixlr Editor”. This will open up Pixlr’s Photoshop-like editor where you can add fonts from your own computer. When you save, you will be back in Ribbet where you can continue editing.
RibbetKeymasterHi barefootbutterfly, Thanks for the suggestion and we will look at including something like this. Although not identical, you can achieve very similar results using the “Gooify” tool under the Effects Tab > Miscellaneous.
RibbetKeymasterHi Melanie, We haven’t decided on pricing yet, but Ribbet Premium will be very reasonable and probably similar to what Picnik Premium cost (around $30/yr). We definitely won’t be overcharging you, and will be giving you plenty of notice beforehand.
RibbetKeymasterUpdate – Also take a look at this forum entry for a way to achieve this: Inserting a Person
RibbetKeymasterHi Julie, This one’s a little tricky and we’ll probably be introducing an easier way to do it in the future. Regardless of how it’s done though, it’s difficult to make it look real (as though your sister was in the original photo), even for professional photo retouchers.
Here’s how to do it right now:
1. Open up the Christmas get-together photo in Ribbet
2. Drag the photo of your sister on as a layer (from the photo basket). Make sure your sister is at least as big as you want her in the final photo.
3. Go to Advanced > Pro Editor > Pixlr Editor
4. Click on the lasoo tool (2nd from the top on the right of the toolbar) and trace the area around your sister that you want to cut out. After tracing, you can make adjustments to your selection: add to the selection by holding Shift and tracing an area, or remove by holding Ctrl/Command and tracing an area.
5. Click Edit > Cut on the menu
6. Click File > New Image on the menu, tick transparent and then click OK
7. Click Edit > Paste
8. Click File > Save and in format choose PNG. Click OK
9. You will be returned to Ribbet. Click Undo once (which makes the cutout area a sticker), and then delete the layer of your sister which isn’t cut out. The cut out area can now be resized and dragged into position.Hope that helps. Let us know if you run into any problems.
RibbetKeymasterHi Traci, For 16×24 use 40:60 or 60:40. We will be adding a feature in a future version which will allow you to lock in a dimension such as 4×6, 5×7, 16×24 etc.
RibbetKeymasterHi Krystal, When creating your collage you can use the following Proportions Slider settings depending on the size you want to print at:
4×6″ use 40:60 or 60:40
8×10″ use 44:56 or 56:44
5×6″ use 45:55 or 55:45If you want other sizes please let me know which and I’ll provide you with the Proportions Slider setting to minimize cropping.
RibbetKeymasterHi Steve, The free premium isn’t permanent, it only lasts for a limited time. After this point your premium account will revert to a regular registered account and it will be necessary to pay a small and very reasonable sum for the premium service.
RibbetKeymasterHi Cori, Currently there isn’t but Fancy Collage is coming soon and will include this ability. We are also going to be linking with an online photo lab to allow you to print off your greeting cards and other fancy collages you create with Ribbet.
