RibbetKeymaster
Hi Pilar, For 18×24 use 43:57 and for 24×36 use 40:60
RibbetKeymasterHi Lisa, There are other ways to try to change the background color but no simple way. Another way you can try is using the Doodle Tool (towards the end of Effects) to paint on the new color. You can hold down the Shift key to constrain mouse movement to straight lines. This isn’t a simple approach though and will take a long time with a large collage.
Another technique is to go to Advanced > Pro Editor > Pixlr Editor and use the Paint Bucket icon to fill the new color (you can pick the color by double clicking the color picker towards the bottom left of the toolbar). This doesn’t always work perfectly though (for this purpose). After you’re done click File > Save to save back to Ribbet.
RibbetKeymasterHi MF, For Intrepid use Los Angeles.
RibbetKeymasterHi Lisa, you can keep clicking the Undo button (which you can find up the top right of the screen) until you return to Collage mode. Even after you save the collage and exit Ribbet, as long as you’re a registered user, you can open up the collage from your History (on the Library tab) and Undo your way back into Collage mode, where you can change the background color, swap out pictures etc.
RibbetKeymasterHi AlexArtist, These are some excellent suggestions, thank you. A couple of them you can achieve now:
– For Lens Flares, try Advanced Tab > Pro Editor > Pixlr Express and then Overlays. There’s a lot to play with in there.
– For Eyes we do have some eye balls within the Seasonal Tab > Halloween but you may have seen these and they’re not precisely what you’re talking about. You can also paint over your eyes to change their color on the Touch Ups Tab but again that may not be what you’re after. As for your other suggestions, we’ll look at including them in a future Ribbet version. Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi AlexArtist,
Tilt Shift on Instagram offers radial and linear focal adjustment. I’ve just had a play with it and our Fancy Focus does seem very close to their radial option. If you see a difference please let me know exactly what it is.
For their linear focus, you can achieve the same thing by going into our Advanced Tab > Pro Editor > Pixlr Pro and then selecting Tilt Shift from the Filter menu. Then save back to Ribbet by clicking File > Save. Again if this doesn’t seem right please do let me know, but I hope that’s helpful for you.
RibbetKeymasterHi Freed?m, I believe that I know exactly what you mean. Try this:
– Grab a rectangle from Shapes > Geometric (the 2nd shape).
– Resize it to fit the text. You can send it behind text (if necessary) by right-clicking it and choosing “Send to back”
– Fade it to 25-30% (or to a level you think looks good).Hope that’s helpful.
RibbetKeymasterYou’re welcome! It’s the exact same look as Classic Vinyl except we removed the optional UV filter and replaced it with an optional “desert heat” filter.
RibbetKeymasterHi Estella, To create a collage with no borders, simply adjust the Spacing Slider to zero. You can find this on the left hand side of the screen, underneath the different collage layouts.
RibbetKeymasterHi Vicky, You’re not dreaming! Classic Vinyl has been renamed to Morocco in the latest Ribbet version. You can still find it on both Featured and Effects tabs.
RibbetKeymasterHi Linda, We don’t have an exact date yet. We’ll give you plenty of notice though, and let you know what we’ll be charging well in advance.
RibbetKeymasterHi Gina, In order to reduce cropping, simple go to the Basic Edits tab, choose Crop and then select 4×6 in the Constraints dropdown. Use the crop tool to keep the area of the photo you like most. Then when printing there will be almost no cropping.
RibbetKeymasterUpdate – Try these new effects:
RibbetKeymasterUpdate: For Nip / Tuck you can now use our Plastic Surgery effect.
RibbetKeymasterHi Kate, We’ve found that Adobe Flash caches the system font list and so to view newly installed fonts you need to close down your browser completely and re-open it. That should fix your problem, but in the unlikely event that it doesn’t, try rebooting your PC.
We’ve also put together this short tutorial for anyone looking for help through the entire “Use your own fonts” process: http://blog.ribbet.com/?topic=using-fonts-from-your-computer
