RibbetKeymaster
Hi Carolyn, Thanks for contacting us. Ribbet connects to Picasa through their public “API” (application programming interface). We don’t have any affiliation with Picasa or Google and so can’t make any changes on the Picasa side of things. So it’s unlikely that Picasa will incorporate Ribbet on their end. It’s therefore necessary to access your Picasa photos from the Library > Picasa/Google+ tab within Ribbet. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Heather, You can be selective about the areas you reduce the color from. After bringing down the Blues/Greens from the Hand Tinted effect, you can erase the effect from any areas where you want the original coloring (such as fish). To do this simply drag your mouse over the areas you want to erase the effect from (while holding down the mouse button). You can adjust the eraser’s size, hardness and strength on the Effect Painting dialog which will be somewhere on the screen (normally to the top left). Let us know if you have any further issues!
RibbetKeymasterHi Heather, Thanks for contacting us. There are a few ways to achieve this. The simplest is to go the Effects tab > Hand Tinted effect (around half-way down the page of effects). Set the Red, Blues, and Greens sliders all to 100%, and then slowly bring down the Blues slider (which reduces the amount of blue in the image). Let us know if this doesn’t achieve what you’re after or if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Kathie, Thanks for contacting us. After our free premium promotion ends, all free premium accounts will revert to regular registered accounts and it will be necessary to pay a small and very reasonable sum for the premium service.
RibbetKeymasterHi Tracy, Yes there are a couple of ways to achieve this. The best would be to use the Pro tab > Levels tool. Grab the left slider above the Apply button (the dark slider below 0) and drag it to the right until the background reaches the desired lightness.
Another technique would be to use the Basic Edits tab > Exposure tool and increase the Exposure slider until the lightness level looks right. The levels technique is probably generally superior though, as too much exposure can leave an undesirable pixelated effect.
RibbetKeymasterHi Angela, Thanks for contacting us. We can change your username for you. Contact us here and let us know what you would like it to be and we’ll make the change.
To check if a username is available you can log out of your account, and then click Register on the top right toolbar. Type a username and tab out of the username field. It will tell you if the username’s unavailable.
RibbetKeymasterHi Mzuri, Thanks for contacting us and sorry that you’re experiencing this issue. Could you please try closing down your web browser completely, and then re-launching Ribbet? This restarts Adobe Flash (which Ribbet runs on) and resolves most odd issues such as these.
If you continue to have an issue, could you please contact us here so that we can help you out one-on-one (please provide as many details as possible, including exactly what happens when you try to save). Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi Kiarra, Thanks for contacting us. It’s not possible to add animated GIFs to a collage, however you can add any regular image files (including regular GIFs) by clicking the Upload Photos button on the Photo Basket at the bottom of the collage maker. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
RibbetKeymasterHi John, Thanks for this feedback! We will definitely look at strengthening the enlarger tool in the next Ribbet version.
RibbetKeymasterHi John, Thanks for contacting us. We can absolutely look at making our Plastic Surgery tool more effective. I’ve just had a play with both our tool and PicMonkey’s and they seem pretty similar to me. Are you having a specific problem with one of the tools, are they too strong or is there any other details you can give to help us narrow down the problem? Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi Trinni, Thanks for contacting us. Highlighting should work well on gray hair (to colorize it). One easy way to make colored hair gray is to use the Black and White effect, tick Reverse Effect on the Effect Painting dialog and then paint on the grey highlights. You can also Fade the effect a little to make it more subtle.
RibbetKeymasterHi Wes, Thanks for contacting us. The free cloud storage is only for photos intended for editing. Any unedited photos are automatically deleted from your account after 14 days. For Ribbet Premium members (Ribbet Premium membership is currently free for a limited time for all registered users), original uploads that have been edited remain in your account indefinitely, along with the edited version.
RibbetKeymasterHi Wendy, Thanks for contacting us. Here are a few simple ways to achieve this:
– Use Effects > Focal Soften, Focal Zoom or one of the other Focal effects to blur the background (these effects are a little past half way down the Effects page)
– Use Effects > Doodle (towards the end of the page) to paint a flat color over your image. You can “pick” a color from your image by clicking the Color selector and then clicking anywhere on your image.
– Lastly you can use the Pro tab > Clone tool to clone nearby areas in your photo, over the areas you want removed. This can be very effective on areas such as grass, sky, wood etc.Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Amy, Thanks for contacting us! In order for the Clone tool to include both pictures, you first need to flatten the image. You can do this by clicking the Cog icon up the top right next to the Undo/Redo buttons and then click Combine Everything. Let us know if you have any further questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Sandi, Thanks for contacting us. Generally the way to achieve this is to go to the Basic Edits tab > Crop effect, select 4×6″ from the dropdown and then crop your photo. This will then perfectly match the printing size.
If doing this is causing too much cropping, alternatively you can create a Blank Canvas from the Library > Start tab, choose 4×6″ from the dropdown and select a background color that will end up printing around your photo as a border. Next drag your photo on from the Photo Basket at the bottom of the editor. Resize it so that it fits as you would like it to print. This technique effectively puts a border around your photo so that it will print without any cropping.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
