There are several reasons why Ribbet may slow down. The following common solutions will speed up Ribbet’s response time:
Close unnecessary applications.
Shut down all unnecessary tabs, windows, programs, and applications open on your computer.
Resize large photos.
Large photos can cause Ribbet to run more slowly. On the top right toolbar under Help > My Account, if you’ve set your Image Quality to Archival, change your setting to the smaller Print size for snappier performance. You can also resize your photos manually with Edit > Basic Edits > Resize.
Update to Adobe Flash Player version 10 or higher.
Visit Adobe’s Flash Player page to see which version of the Flash Player you now have installed. Updating takes about three minutes and is totally free.
1. Uninstall your current Flash Player.
2. Install the most recent version of the Flash Player.Use a different browser.
If you’re still experiencing trouble, download one of the following browsers:
– Google Chrome: Download it at http://www.google.com/chrome
– Firefox: Download it at http://www.mozilla.com/Make sure your Internet connection is fast.
A slow Internet connection will cause lagging during uploading, editing, and saving. Connecting to the Internet via a fast connection will make everything run faster.

While we don’t recommend permanently disabling your virus detection, some settings can slow programs like Ribbet down. It’s worth experimenting with temporarily disabling your virus detector to see if that improves your experience.
