Sometimes it can be really difficult to select text when there are other elements behind it. Here are some suggestions:
1. You can keep clicking on the text until it selects. Try positioning the cursor exactly over one of the letters and clicking until it selects.
2. You can also move all the elements behind it out of the way, then click the text to select it, then undo so that all the elements move back to where they were. The text will stay selected and you can then edit its wording or other properties.
