Hi Stacey,
Sorry I’m not certain what happened to your previous post. The answer is, for a 7 x 10.5 Blank Canvas use 2100 x 3150.

April 24, 2017 at 4:38 am in reply to: When I save my photos changing their name, where can I retrieve them? #9239RibbetKeymasterHi Raelene,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
When you change the name just before saving a file, it has the effect of saving the actual image file on your computer with that name, and also saving the History entry (on the Library > History tab in Ribbet) with that name.
So, the answer would be that the files will be on your computer with that name, and on the Library > History tab with that name. If you’re unable to locate the files on your computer, try saving a new image in Ribbet and after clicking the red Save Photo button, take a look at the location in the file save dialog (this is most likely where the other files are).
Let us know if I’ve misunderstood the question, or if you have any other questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Eric,
There is currently a known issue with the “Global” font under the latest version of Chrome. It is cropped when sizing it too large. This doesn’t affect the other standard Ribbet fonts though – you should still be able to size them as large as you need.
We will resolve this problem, but if you need to resize “Global” in the meantime you can temporarily work around the issue by using a different web browser, such as Firefox, Safari, Edge or Internet Explorer.
RibbetKeymasterHi Jennifer,
Thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue. This is a known problem which does affect some fonts loaded from your computer. We will fix this issue in the future, however in the meantime you can try:
– Adding a Return (hit Enter on your keyboard) before and after the text (so that there is space above and below the line, which can prevent the cropping)
– Also, sometimes this will affect only certain versions of the font. If you’ve downloaded and installed the font from a free font site, sometimes finding a different version of that font can correct the problem.Let us know if we can assist further in any way, and I’ll update this forum thread when the problem has been fixed.
RibbetKeymasterHi Rodrigo,
Would it be possible to please give us the example image URL, or alternatively email it to us at support [at] ribbet.com? We will then investigate.
Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterI’m very pleased to let you know that this issue has again been resolved. We’re really sorry that it took so long to fix and we’re going to work with Pixlr to try to ensure this problem doesn’t recur.
Thanks for your patience and please let us know if you run into any further issues.
RibbetKeymasterHi Angelo and Dawn,
We really apologize for the inconvenience. Pixlr have told us that they are working on this issue as a high priority, however they are still yet to provide a fix. We are hoping this will be resolved ASAP as we know a lot of users rely on these tools. We will keep this forum thread updated as soon as a fix is released or we have any further information.
Sorry again for the delay and we hope to have a resolution very soon.
RibbetKeymasterHi Stacey!
At 300DPI, 8.75×11.25 is 2625×3375. For Blank Canvas you can enter these dimensions directly.
For a Grid Collage, as this is larger than a standard size collage, you need to first change your Image Quality setting to Archival (you can find your settings by clicking Hi Username! on the top right toolbar within the editor), and then change the quality on your collage to High (on the top toolbar). You can then drag the edges of the collage until you reach this size by watching the dimensions in the Zoom box down the bottom right of the screen (I’d suggest designing your collage first and then dragging the edges as otherwise the dimensions may change as you change your collage). You may not be able to get the dimensions exact to the pixel, but a few pixels off won’t matter.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi JK, Pixlr have just updated us to say that their team is looking into the issue, that they don’t have a definite time frame for a fix, but that they’re hopeful they can get it solved without too much delay. They’ll update us as soon as they have a fix ready or live.
Sorry again for the inconvenience – we try to keep everything working perfectly all the time. Unfortunately in this case we have to wait for Pixlr to solve it.
RibbetKeymasterHi JK, We’re really sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the Pixlr editors are under the control of Pixlr and we have to wait for them for a fix. We’re as keen as you are for them to resolve this so that everything is working smoothly again.
RibbetKeymasterHi Cindi,
There is currently a general issue affecting the Pixlr editor (the Pro Editor tools) which is causing saving to fail (and also sometimes loading). We are working with Pixlr to find a resolution to this issue, and I’ll update this forum thread once it has been resolved.
Sorry for the inconvenience and we hope to have it fixed ASAP.
RibbetKeymasterHi Rachel,
This is an excellent request, thank you. We will be performing a complete overhaul on the Text section of our editor shortly after we release our new interface, which is coming soon. With the overhaul we will definitely include kerning, tracking and leading, along with drop shadow, stroke and some other enhancements.
Really looking forward to bringing you these improvements!
RibbetKeymasterHi Sarah,
In order to maximise the resolution you need to make sure that you start with as large an image as possible. For the largest size you mentioned – 11×14, to print at high quality (300DPI) you’ll need to start with an image that’s at least 3300×4200. To do this, you will need to first change your Image Quality setting to Archival (you can find your settings by clicking Hi Username! on the top right toolbar within the editor).
Let us know if you have any other questions!
RibbetKeymasterHi Soozie,
Thanks for contacting us! The Text Properties box can be moved around by dragging it from the light green title bar (which has the caption “Text Properties” on it). Normally this box wouldn’t appear over the text entry box, however it may move there in certain cases and you should be able to move it out of the way.
Please let us know if you continue to have an issue. Thanks!
RibbetKeymasterHi Phyliss,
Thanks for your feedback! We do have an effect called Impressionism which can be found about a page from the end of the Effects tab. This effect is quite a lot like an oil painting effect. Hope that’s of some help.
