    Hi Shirley,

Sorry to hear that! This could actually be because I think by default Ribbet is saving JPG images at 96DPI, so the 1200×1200 image is printing at 12.5×12.5″ instead of 4×4″.

If you can manually enter a scaling percentage when printing, you could correct this by scaling it to 32%. If it doesn’t give you this option, you could try opening the image in Chrome (you can drag the image on), selecting Print… (from the 3 dots option menu up the top right) and using the “Custom” scaling setting to do this.

Alternatively you could try saving in PNG format and printing that. Although I’m not certain what DPI the printer will then default to.

A final option is resizing the image from 1200×1200 to 384×384 and printing that (I would use this as a last resort though).

    Hi Shirley,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

When you go to print the image, can you please check the following printer options are correct:

    – Landscape vs Portrait orientation
    – Either “Fill” or “Fit” the paper is selected

Depending on the particular printer software you may need to go into Advanced settings.

Does that help? If not, could you please email us (to support [at] ribbet.com) some screenshots of your available printer options and we will see what we can suggest?

    Hi Brandy,

    To achieve this:

    1. First open up the new background image
    2. Upload and drag on the main image from the Photo Basket (at the very bottom of the editor)
    3. Click the Eraser icon on the Photo Properties dialog that appears
    4. Paint over the area of the main image you want to erase

We have a brief demo video illustrating this here.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

This isn’t yet possible in our new beta version, however you can achieve this with our program version (which is identical to our previous version and available from ribbet.com/download). In the program, when you click an image you can adjust the Fade and Advanced Blend Mode on the Photo Properties dialog that appears.

If you have any further questions, please let us know!

    Hi Kristina,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Our original “classic” editor is available for another few days (until Flash is removed from all browsers) at ribbet.com/cls?flash=1.

Our current (Flash) editor is now available as a program for your Windows or Mac computer from ribbet.com/download. Once installed it will add a Ribbet icon to your Windows desktop or Mac icon dock – you can launch Ribbet from this (no need to return to our website).

This editor has a Doodle tool – now called “Sketch”. It’s on the Effects tab.

The new beta browser-based version at app.ribbet.com will also receive the Sketch tool soon.

If you have any further questions, please let us know!

    Hi Megan,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ve shared this feedback with our product team so that we can improve the Highlights tool to support further darkening. In the meantime, you can apply the effect and then apply it again over the top in order to darken the hair further.

Let us know if you have any further questions or feedback.

    Hi Jacqueline,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Yes, you can download them from here. This will show you all the photos you ever uploaded as long as you edited them (even if you deleted them). If you deleted them before editing them though, they won’t appear and unfortunately will be lost.

    Hi Lynn,

I’m very sorry to hear that, I really thought we had resolved this one. We’re working on a solution. The difficulty is that we haven’t been able to reproduce it on our end – it’s only affecting a very small set of users and we’re trying to figure out what is causing it.

    Hi Kerri,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

When you save your image, you’ll notice (on web/desktop) you can see the file size. You can reduce this, by either reducing the quality (in the quality slider) or by reducing the image’s width and height. This can all be achieved from the Save screen and you’ll see the new file size before you save.

If you have any further questions, please let us know!

    Hi Joey,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Start by opening up the background image, then drag on the foreground image from the Photo Basket at the bottom of the editor. Click the foreground image, and a Photo Properties dialog will appear with an Erase icon. Click that Erase icon and paint around the person to delete the background. We have a brief demo video of this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciYtYIWIXOs

If you have any other questions, please let us know!
