I was unable to see where I can do Overlays & Layers. Sorry, but if it does not exist, will you be implementing it.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
In order to add custom Overlays & Layers, you can upload images to the Photo Basket (at the bottom of the editor) and then drag them onto your main image (or canvas).
You can re-order these layers by using the options that appear when right-mouse-clicking, and you can also erase and fade them, and use Advanced Blend Modes (these options are available on the Photo Properties dialog that appears when clicking the photo you’ve dragged on).
Let us know if you have any other questions.

For a new person finding where these overlays are done is not easy to see initially , as all the other options are on top and side. just a thought. I know know where they are. thank you. overlays is done well.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for this feedback. We will continue to try to make the interface as simple as we can for new users. We’ll most likely also allow you to add overlays from the left bar in a future update, so that both the Photo Basket and the left bar options exist.

My question is why does it take so long for the layer to add to the picture. When I add my watermark I don’t like waiting for almost 5 minutes for it to load to my picture.

Hi Brandy,
Sorry to hear that you’ve run into this issue! When you add an image to the Photo Basket it uploads it to our server – it may be that depending on your internet speed and the size of your images that this could take some time, however it shouldn’t take 5 minutes. What you could do is upload a bunch of images at once when you aren’t using your computer, so that when you come back they’re ready to add from the Photo Basket. Hope that helps or if you believe this is a bug (or want further help on this), please email us at support [at] ribbet.com so that we can assist in sorting it out one-on-one.

Where is the option to add another picture on top of another on the ipad? I’m using my Ipad and I don’t see how to add another image on top of an image that is already uploaded. The closest option is to add it as a watermark but the image is so tiny I can’t see it. When I try and expand it the clarity and sharpness is ruined and the image is blurry. This is simpler on desktop. I really don’t like this app as most of the useful features are not available to use, which makes the app, well, not useful. Every time I try and use it on my Ipad I’m reminded that I can’t.

Hi Maury,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You’re looking in the correct spot – the Watermark tool is how to add additional images to your photo on iPad. After adding an image you can zoom in on your photo by pinch-gesturing it and then resize the watermark by dragging the Resize icon on the bottom right corner of it. It should maintain the full quality of the watermark – it may be that right now you’re simply zooming into the image by pinching rather than dragging the corner of the watermark to resize it. We’re actually working on making this more intuitive to use right now and this will be included with the next update to our iOS app soon.
We’re also still working on bringing all the features from our desktop version to iOS and Android. We have to manually port each feature and it takes a significant amount of engineering, however we’re making excellent progress and in the upcoming updates you’ll see more and more functionality – eventually mobile will be very close to matching desktop.
If you’re still having issues with adding pictures on iPad please feel free to reach out to our support team over email at support [at] ribbet.com and we’ll do our best to help to resolve the problem, or let us know here if we can help further in any way.

How can I delete the entire background behind a photo of a person without trying to use the eraser too?

Hi Victoria,
Currently erasing is the only way, however we are looking at ways of simplifying this in the future.
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
