Hi…I’m interested in embedding Ribbet in my forum/group. I found the API page, but not really sure if I can do this or the steps. Currently I have pixlr, but think your program would better suit our artisan group for jewelry design. We are very “photo” focused and Ribbet would be a terrific alternative and would like the ability for my members to edit their images right on the site. Anyways…I was a huge Picnik fan and was very excited and impressed when a colleague shared your site with me this week. Great work!! Looking forward to using it ~ Melinda Orr

Hi Melinda, We can absolutely assist you in integrating with the Ribbet API. If the Pixlr API is working for you then it shouldn’t be much work to move to the Ribbet API. If you post your current code (if you prefer you can email it to us at support [at] ribbet [dot] com) I’ll edit it for you to work with Ribbet. Looking forward to getting Ribbet up and running on your site.

THIS ONE IS FOR EXPRESS:
Also, I’m trying to use the “edit in Ribbet” tool bar option (chrome) to edit a facebook picture and/or even one in my group page. It’s not pulling up the picture (I have a screenshot if you want to see) Here’s the URL it pulled up: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1020028730833745 and then a CHROME button with Rv99vzk9qsr ….but won’t load the picture. Can you help? As I want to write an article for my members about using this option as well. 🙂 Thanks!! M

Hi Melinda, The Edit in Ribbet button can only draw images from public web pages. Since this Facebook image is private (when I follow the link above I see “This content is currently unavailable”), the only way to import it into Ribbet is by connecting with Facebook from the Library tab within the editor, finding the photo and then double-clicking it. Alternatively you can obviously download the photo from Facebook and re-upload it to Ribbet.

Thanks for that! Looks like I forgot to add the pixlr embed code…here it is for my site…
You can view it here: http://artisanwhimsy.com/page/photo-editor-express

Thanks Melinda. In your html code, simply replace pixlr.com/express/ with ribbet.com/app/. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance!
