How to make image w/solid background transparent [Magic wand and Erase]

I did NOT want to go in with the eraser to try going around the outline, there had to be an easier way but there wasn’t any post I saw yet.
Upload the PNG file that has solid color (hopefully its drastically different from your actual object. Ideally, you’d want a lighter solid color for a dark object and a darker background for a lighter object. (white background, black text for example)
Make sure you have a transparent layer under the PNG layer.
Use the Magic Wand tool on the PNG’s layer so it can selects the object.
Use Erase tool on the same layer as the object to remove the background for that photo.The wand might not work around small crevices and areas but you’ll erase way less than doing it the other way by just the eraser
