Hi, I wondered if you could help, I have a few pictures that I love but hate the background either there is a lot of mess or there is bits that I need removing, is there a way of doing this or even blurring the whole background out or making it a different colour. Many thanks

Hi Wendy, Thanks for contacting us. Here are a few simple ways to achieve this:
– Use Effects > Focal Soften, Focal Zoom or one of the other Focal effects to blur the background (these effects are a little past half way down the Effects page)
– Use Effects > Doodle (towards the end of the page) to paint a flat color over your image. You can “pick” a color from your image by clicking the Color selector and then clicking anywhere on your image.
– Lastly you can use the Pro tab > Clone tool to clone nearby areas in your photo, over the areas you want removed. This can be very effective on areas such as grass, sky, wood etc.Let us know if you have any further questions!
